LUXEMBOURG: Day 5 (Friday)

Imagen
LUXEMBOURG-DAY 5 Friday was indeed an emotional day. For some of us it began with the farewells to our host families which were terribly hard. Then, all of the members of the project sat to have a meeting where we discussed our thoughts about the project itself and our experiences taking part in it. As we finished early, we were able to spend some time in  Kinnekswiss Parc. This was followed by lunch which, for me at least, felt too short. And after this the big farewell. Hugs and promises of keeping in touch were exchanged along with some tears. It truly was an emotionl sight! The journey from the airport to Cordoba was an emotional rollercoaster. It didn't help that we were in such a rush from the moment we landed in Madrid. Despite all of the problems that may have occured, I think it s an experience we alll are looking forward to repeating! LUXEMBOURG: Day 4 (Thursday)

LUXEMBOURG-DAY 4 Hello I am María and I am going to write about Thursday, the most exhausting day. We started going to the CNA (Centre National de l´Audiovisuel) where we had an interesting meeting about the education system of our countries which are Luxembourg, Germany, Lithuania, Greece, UK and Spain. After lunch Mylène taught us about different types of photos and films and we went with Mikhail to a beautiful place with pictures of the history of the country. The only thing of the day that nobody liked was a little dispute about what we were going to do because we wanted to spend time all together and finally we went to the  ice skating and really I loved it. It was so funny!. It worked as a farewell party...indeed!!!!  On the other hand, my host family was incredible and they came up with a wonderful surprise. They arrived at  the airport to say goodbye to me. Sarah, the girl of the Project, gave me a necklace and a rose. I can´t believe th...

LUXEMBOURG: Day 3 (Wednesday)

LUXEMBOURG-DAY 3 This day was the most relaxing one, regarding the activities we did during the week. The luxembourgese group decided to plan a surprise trip, which finally consisted on going to France. An advantage that this small country has is that it allows us to go to another one in just two hours by bus. Once we arrived there, they took us to the Zoo d´Amnéville, where we learned new things about animals and some weird species took us by surprise.   Flamingos White wolves      This trip was really good and the best part was seeing how the seals practiced their show. However, I would have organised the students in another way, instead of letting them go wherever they wanted and with whoever they wanted, I would have made some groups, so the students could have met eachother easily. Finally, at 16:00, although some students went to Steinsel, the others t...

LUXEMBOURG Day 2 (Tuesday)

LUXEMBOURG-DAY 2 Tuesday started with a “veeeeery” long speech. But we were very lucky because we had the chance to visit a data center , which is used to keep international digital information.   We were really impressed about the security system  there and surprised about how they manage to keep everything we put on the internet into a physical space. Afterwards, we went to a school to have lunch and did an activity about the internet as well. Don´t forget that luxemburguese studenys´topic was DIGITALIZATION To finsh the day, we did laser game and it was amazing . It was quite difficult because it was the first time we were doing it but we all loved it. We painted our faces with stunning colours but we had to remove them before playing L . While playing it was so funny because it was hard to recognise each other and people’s names were replaced by pen-names so you didn’t know who was "killing" you. It was a really long and exhausting day but, from...

LUXEMBOURG: Day 1 (Monday)

Imagen
LUXEMBOURG-DAY 1 The day started pretty well. When we arrived at the "lycée", we were taken into a room to have some photos taken for the public transport card. After that, we were into a meeting room in the high school, and then the teachers and the president of the CNA presented the project with Mikhail . After that quiet and calm moment, we did a pretty interesting tour around Luxembourg , seeing lots of beautiful buildings and the landscape. One thing that called my attention was the way that the old buildings were connected with the new style. Tips for the future traveller: bring warm clothes, trust me, it was like -10000ºC!!! After that exciting trip, we returned to the high school to meet the psychologist. Then and there  we were discussing and receiving information about  topics like pressure and depression, and we did some activities. 2 hours later, we were going back home to meet again our family, and to rest in order to be ready for the next day. ...

LUXEMBOURG: Day 0 (Sunday)

LUXEMBOURG-DAY 0 It was a long night for us, but, at 8:00AM, we finally arrived at Luxembourg. Our journey started here, and then at the airport we met our host families. They were the people who we were going to spend our day with.  I am going to talk about my personal experience. When we arrived home, I decided to open my baggage and put everything in their appropiate place, and then, take a little nap. After that, my family decided to eat at a restaurant, which was really a high-standing one. Everything was delicious and expensive, but my host-father paid for it. Then, we decided to do trekking in a place called "La petite suisse luxembourgeoise". It was incredibly beautiful! Totally different from the Spanish landscape! After the trekking, we stayed at home and then, we picked up my other partner in the house, and that is how the day finished. From my point of view, I really enjoyed the trekking. The landscape, the dirt smell, the green trees... I would not ch...
