GREECE . Day 4.( Wednesday)
THESSALONIKI IN FULL BLOOM
On Wednesday we woke up at around 6:30 am, which was kind of tough, but worth it. We arrived at the school at about 7:30 am since the bus left at 8:00 am to Thessaloniki. On the bus María Lozano and I sat together, both on the way there and on the way back. María Prados and María Fernández sat right behind us, John and Bill in front of us, and María and Xenia (some of the students on the Greek team) sat next to us. We spent the whole way there just sleeping since we were tired from waking up so early.

On our way there we passed Mt. Olympus, which was kind of shocking to me because the peak was so high that we couldn’t even see it. A while later, we got to Thessaloniki, where a tourist guide was waiting for us to give us a tour of the city. The place where the guide was waiting for us was incredibly beautiful, it was a view of the whole city and the sea. We took a bunch of pictures on this place.
Here's one of the pictures we took with all of the Greek students.
We spent half of the day with the guide, who showed us so many beautiful places, like Rotoda (also known as St George). This was a church, which was also used as a museum, and was full of beautiful mosaics.

Afterwards, we went to see a movie to the Planetarium, which was really cool, it talked about the space and the first people that went to the moon. After the movie we went to the planetarium's gift shop and took a look at it. It had a bunch of souvenirs inspired on the space, it was a nice place to look for gifts for our friends and family back in Spain.

Once we were done at the planetarium, the bus took us back to Thessaloniki's center to have dinner at a tavern. At this tavern we had so much food. First of all, they brought out some appetizers that consisted of cheese croquets, French fries, different kinds of salad and feta cheese. María Fernández was the biggest fan of the cheese croquets, she loved them. After the appetizers, they brought out the main dishes, which were fish, meat or moussaka, it was up to us to choose what we wanted to have. We all decided to have moussaka and I think we made the right choice, because it was extremely good-tasting.

Try to find us!
And after that the day just kind of finished, we had so much fun on the way back to Larissa. We sang and danced on the bus. And as soon as we got to Larissa we went home, because we were all really tired from such a long and fun day.
