GERMANY: DAY 6 (SATURDAY)

DEPARTING...SADLY ENOUGH As much as we didn't want this trip to end, even with the freezing weather, it did. We met at the train station at 8:30 and agints our will, we had to say goodbye to our host families. We were all really grateful for their kindness and hospitality.  The journey home was a long one, a really long one.  Just thinking about the two planes and two trains that we had ahead, that  made us anxious to be back in Córdoba.  First, it was the train from Riesa to Dresden and then another to the Dresden's Airport. There, we waited for four long hours. Then the  plane to Frankfurt where we tried the  typical "curry wurst". Another plane to Madrid and after speeding through the train station, we were able to take the train to Córdoba. It felt endless . Not to get bored,  we even started to ask ridiculous questions such as "what's your favourite colour?".  We arrived around 23:30. Finally home, but with a lot of more experie

THAT´S A WRAP Friday marked the end of the project meaning only one week left of it. It began, as the rest of the week, in the cafeteria. However, this time we all have breakfast together where we ate delicious food but we also laughed a lot, played games and tried to make the most of the little time we had left. Then, we did the feedback  addressed to the German group where we shared our feelings about the whole week: favourite moments, things that could’ve been improved or the importance of the topic, " a green future".  Around 11:30 we finished and we went again to the cafeteria, this time to have lunch. We decided to share our meal with the Greek crew. Of course we had to, it was the last!  When we finished we weren’t sure about what was next, so when we realized that it was time for saying goodbye some tears started to fall. With hugs and promises to see each other again sooner rather than later, we parted ways. The evening was spent with our host. I

CRAFTS AND PARTY TIME...CHILLING-OUT!!!!  On Thursday, we went to the cafeteria in the morning to wait for the program to start, just like we had been doing for the rest of week. My host, Franzi, and I were one of the first to arrive, so we sat down for a little bit and waited for everyone else to get there. As people started arrive, Franzi left, since she had a class to attend to. A few of the first people to arrive were from the Greek team, which I was really glad about, since I have bonded really well with them. Once everyone had arrived, we went to one of the classrooms on the third floor, where they asked us to pick the workshop we wanted to be in. I decided to pick glass, but there were to more options, which were felt and metal.              Once everyone had picked out what workshop they were going to be doing, the German team divided us into three groups of ten people each. We decided to form a group with the Greek team, since we had five from each team. Once

DRESDEN DAY: RECONSTRUCTION It was our third day already; we have made some great things. However, I found our  today´s  Dresden trip the best one. We woke up early in the morning, in order to arrive in time at the station. There we took the train that would go to Dresden. At the beginning some information was given to us about the city, and the new neighborhood, were we could see some places that had to do with our main topic protecting the environment. This neighborhood is known for having an “alternative lifestyle” whit bio shops or houses made of wood without concrete or metal reused. After that, we went to the city center and we had the opportunity to see the Elba River and the castle which is a breathtaking view. Then we went to a really cool experience which I found a great way of showing the fortress and at the same time learning history with visual effects that were stikingly made. At the city center there are some incredible buildings, I was fascinated by their beauty

DEBATING      It was 7:30 in the morning and we had to wait for the German Erasmus students to come up and told us about what we were about to do.      At first, they divided us into ten groups and each one represented a country. I was very nervous due to the fact that not only I am extremely  shy but also because I was new in the proyect and I did not know what to expect. But, fortunately, my groupmates were so nice that made me feel comfortable even with the idea of having to talk in public. After telling us which country we were going to represent, we started to look for information. The idea was to tell each country´s enviromental problems and their solutions.      One hour later, we had a break  so that we could eat. Then, a woman gave us a speech about pollution, specially CO 2 emission; and about the possible solutions such as The Paris Agreement. In the restaurant where we ate there were mountains made of metal trash- an iron factory was nearby-  that in the future would be

LET'S SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT!! Now, it's the beginning of a new day! On this day, we had the opportunity to get to know all the people involved in the proyect. First of all, all the countries introduceD themselves to the others. Then, we had a little game, consisting on trying to pronounce some words in German. It was hilarious! I still remember trying to pronounce "adequat" (ade'qvat), which I think was the most difficult one. After that, we walked for a looooooooong time from the high school to the council. It was a mix of non-stop rain together with being tired because of the day before´s journey. Anyway, we arrived at the council and the mayor gave our school Head a really thick  book!! After that, we were supposed to hug some trees but, because of the weather, it wasn't possible. So, we had lunch in a restaurant and then we had to go back home. I really wanted more acivities but, in compensation, I went to my host's and there, we played som

Hallo Germany !! So now, the trip has started!! We got off from Córdoba On Saturday, so we could sleep in Madrid. The next day was, to say the least, exhausting. We had to get up at 5 so we could take our flight in time. We spent the whole day travelling: we had to take a couple of flights and a couple of trains. We had some time to spare in Dresden, at which we arrived well inf advance, there we looked for a restaurant...we were starving. It was heavily raining, so we went into the first place we saw open to eat.  After that, we got into the train which was taking us to Riesa, where our hosts were waiting for us. There, there was a little problem which involved tha bathroom. It was automatic but it didn't work very well, so our teacher almost got stucked there 😂😂. It was really funny (not for her). Ana just trying to mess up a photo in Dresden station And finally, we arrived at our beloved Riesa, just wanting to sleep. We met our hosts and they took us home. I was
